Well apparently its just short of TWO weeks.. Well when they said time flies by when u want it to go slow, boy they weren't kidding. I have no idea what to do anymore. The more you try to hold onto something, the more it slips away from you very hand. I guess it's nothing but a futile attempt. We all have to move on and accept the fact. Haha.
Change is not the easiest thing to deal with. It's very difficult but sadly it's necessary in order to pursue life and learn as we go. It's good to be comfortable but never be complacent, because if you were to reach that stage, we are just going to be stuck in one place and limit of learning capabilities and resources. Go out, explore, find new things, meet new people, fall in love, whatever it might be, do something with your life and don't waste a single second of god's gift to you!
A simple quote by Ivy Baker Priest states,"The world is round and the place which may seem like the end may also be the beginning."Well So to me, what i can take away from it is, don't give up hope, go ahead and do what you really want to. If you were to reach a place or point which seems to be the end, think again, look at it from a different perspective. That very point may be the start of something new, great brilliance in fact. I Ching also said, "Before the beginning of great brilliance there must be disaster". So well go ahead, never give up and when you reach the end, go some more. Do not stop. Do not give up! Only then will you not regret anything in life.
Another phrase I got from a the movie " Public Enemy" caught my attention. Johnny Depp said,"Listen to me doll. They are only looking at where people come from, but the only important thing is where somebody is going." So what you should ask yourself is not where you came from, but where are you headed? In my opinion it should be "Anywhere I Want."
I noticed that everything I have posted so far has got to do with my departure, well but that is all that's on my mind at the moment. So yeah. Well and being me loving quotes, I tried to read quotes of farewell, goodbyes, departing and so on seeing if it could make me feel any better. Well don't know how well it worked out but it was pretty soothing to the heart. Here are some,
"Nothing makes the world feel more spacious as to have friends at a distance;they make latitudes and longitudes." Henry David Thoreau.
" Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I'll miss you, until we meet again."
"Only in the agony of parting do we look into the depths of love" George Elliot.
"Farewell. God knows when we shall meet again." William Shakespere.
"Man's feelings are always the purest and most glowing in the hour of meeting and of farewell." Jean Paul Ritcher.
"We only part to meet again" John Gay
"A man never knows how to say goodbye; a woman never knows when to say it." Helen Rowland
"A goodbye isn't painful, unless you're never going to say hello again."
And well my favourite,
"Why does it take a minute to say hello and forever to say goodbye?"
Well these are just a few out of the many I read. So yeah. Another phrase to cheer the situation up,
"Winston Churchill drank after a victory because he deserved it and after a defeat cause he needed it"
In conclusion I feel he sending us a message, DRINK!!! Haha
